«Stories from Sápmie» - album and live performance

Stories from Sápmie is a collaboration between DJ iDJa and South Sámi artist Ramona Linnea from Sømna. The album combines electronic music with Sámi poetry and nature recordings from one of the reindeer herding districts in Helgeland.

Across ten tracks, the duo explores Sámi identity and indigenous struggles, including "Mijjen Vaerieh, Mijjen Aerpie" - the first drum and bass song in the South Sámi language.

One of the songs from the album, Maadteraahka, was nominated for Song of the Year at SVT Sápmi in 2024. Songs from the album were also performed on Norge Talenter (Norwegian Got Talent) in fall 2024.
