Ijahis Idja Main Stage Set

On August 17, 2024, I experienced a career milestone when I performed alongside DJ Ailo on the main stage of the Ijahis Idja Festival in Inari, Finland.

 

Our one-hour DJ set, which followed directly after Mari Boine's performance, was an extraordinary experience. We enhanced our music with synchronized visuals, creating a unique atmosphere.

This concert marked a significant progression in my journey - from performing at small club venues to standing on a major festival stage. Sharing this experience with DJ Ailo, a fellow Sámi DJ, made the evening even more memorable.

It was particularly meaningful to see electronic music being embraced on the festival's main stage. To me, this represents an important evolution in Sámi music culture, and it was rewarding to be part of this transformation.

This performance stands as a special moment in my journey as a Sámi artist, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my music in this way.
