Čappa Nieida
Čáppa Nieida is a techno track built around a simple North Sámi phrase meaning “hi, beautiful girl.” The track uses playful language elements as its core motif, placed over a driving electronic production.
The idea originated in Berlin, where iDJa spent long nights in the city’s club scene as a student. A bathroom mirror covered in lipstick became the visual reference for the cover art, while the musical concept grew from a late-night jam built around a single spoken line.
The result is a straightforward club track that mixes humor, repetition and a small introduction to Sámi language within a harder electronic framework.
